Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Smart-Stylo, a marketplace connecting customers with independently owned salons, and the tools we provide to salon owners, managers, and staff to run their business (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, booking an appointment, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Smart-Stylo operates the online platform. Each salon listed on Smart-Stylo is an independent business — not our employee or franchise — responsible for the services it performs, its pricing, its staff, and its own compliance with applicable law. Smart-Stylo is the payment facilitator and booking platform, not the provider of the salon services themselves.

2. Accounts

Customers create an account using a phone number and a one-time code sent by text — there is no password to remember. Salon owners, managers, and staff sign in with an email and password issued when their account is created. You're responsible for keeping your login and phone number secure, and for all activity under your account.

3. Bookings, pricing, and cancellations

Prices shown for a service are set by the salon, not by Smart-Stylo. Some services are fixed-price; others are shown as a starting price and finalized after the appointment based on the actual work performed, within the bounds the salon disclosed. A salon may set its own no-show and late-cancellation policy, which can affect your ability to book online in the future if repeatedly missed.

4. Payments

Online payments are processed by Stripe. Smart-Stylo never stores your full card number. Depending on the salon, you may also be able to pay in person by cash or card at checkout. Where sales tax applies, it's calculated and collected as part of your payment. Platform and processing fees may be included in the amount charged; a salon's own subscription and messaging fees are billed directly to that salon, not to customers.

5. Text messages

If you provide a phone number, you may receive text messages related to your appointments — confirmations, reminders, and updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, START to resume, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts may make it harder for your salon to reach you about a booking.

6. Salon accounts and platform fees

Salons pay a subscription to list on Smart-Stylo and may purchase message bundles for customer texts. We reserve the right to suspend a salon's listing for non-payment, fraud, or violation of these Terms; a suspended salon stops appearing in customer search and can't take new bookings until reinstated.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to harass staff or customers, submit fraudulent bookings or payments, scrape or resell data from the platform, or attempt to circumvent a salon's no-show or cancellation policy. We may suspend or terminate any account that does.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." Smart-Stylo isn't responsible for the quality of services performed by a salon, disputes between a customer and a salon, or losses arising from your use of the Service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
